External hdd data error cyclic redundancy check
Someone with pc3000, or even Sediv, and the necessary knowlege, would be able to say if the drive is defective in some way, or is locked due to belonging to some other kind of machine/dvr/etc. I have Transcend 1 TB external Hard drive, now showing cyclic redundancy check and while i am running Chkdsk showing Raw Drive.Pls helm me i have very important data in that drive.

My comment for the pc3000 is mostly because the OP seems to not know from where the drive came, and so the reason/cause of the symptoms can´t be correctly assessed, due to lack of adequate tools. Do you get cyclic redundancy checks when you copy certain files or folders to a hard drive or external drive The cyclic redundancy check is an error detection code used to check the data. Even if the OP manages to make the drive work for a bit, it's likely going to just fail again in short time.Īgreed. It's cheaper and easier to just buy another drive. No one who's spent the money on a PC-3000 system is going to waste time trying to fix a broken drive when there's no data needing to be recovered. When i checked, every thing was fine except only the Hard drive 'G's(2tb Samsung HD204UI) icon.

One best solution would to take the drive with someone with pc3000 and the knowledge to a correct diagnostic before condemning the drive. Hi guys, There is a problem with my secondary internal Hard drive which is a 2tb Samsung HD204UI.It was all fine until i last shutdown my PC.But after like 4hrs i turned it on,my system was very slow. Maybe ? It is a little hard then, because the drive could be somehow locked, personalized or had some other alteration in firmware done. 1Q9xrDTzTddUXeJAFRn37aqh1Yr6buDCdw - (Bitcoin Donations) /Spildit - (PayPal Donations) The HDD Oracle - Platform for OPEN research on Data Recovery.
